COVID Protocol

Hi everyone,

It seems like half the people I know are catching the current varient of COVID. I don’t want our party to be a super-spreader event (or even a regular-spreader event) that nails the other half. 

We will of course follow whatever guidelines San Mateo county has in effect at the time of the party. Right now (July 31) there are no mandates or requirements in place. 

So here’s what I am asking of you: 

• If you or your guest feel symptomatic or test positive, please don’t attend. We’ll miss you!
• Please test on the day of the party. I’m going to. 
• If you’re coming in from SIGGRAPH or have been to another large event in the last week, please be extra diligent about testing and evaluating your health. 
• Although San Mateo isn’t requiring masks they are urging “businesses, venue operators, event hosts, faith organizations, and other groups to consider requiring masks for participants in indoor activities.” While we are not requiring masks, we encourage you to wear one indoors.
• The venue at Devil’s Canyon Brewery also includes a large outdoor space that includes plenty of mingling room, picnic table seating, a bar, and is where the food trucks will be parked.
